Before finding a home at DePaul University, Greenola founder Jennifer Moran attended other schools. “I transferred a lot. But when I got to DePaul, I knew it was the right thing.” A big part of Jennifer’s years at DePaul revolved around the Coleman Entrepreneurship Center at the school. “It really changed me and got me focused on what I was passionate about.”
Jennifer grew up in Chicago’s suburbs, went to high school in Wisconsin, lived for a time in Colorado and moved back to Chicago to finish college. Before that she managed a coffee shop and traveled the world. But it was the people at DePaul that really put her on the path she is now. “I actually had a business plan while I was at DePaul.”
Jennifer graduated with a degree in Business Administration, but it was the degree’s concentration that really shaped the kind of work she’s doing today. “I focused on social entrepreneurship. I knew I wanted to do something that had a deeper meaning. DePaul, being a spiritually-centered school, really helped me with that.”
As a socially conscious entrepreneur, an artist, a world traveler, and the mother of a young son, Jennifer finds her life to be full and rewarding, a life she says DePaul helped shape. “The school was the reason I found my life partner. We met in an accounting class, fell in love, and here we are. Thanks, DePaul!”
